I reckon I am about three weeks behind schedule with my work, due to the little bit where all my energy is directed towards stuff that gets me money for food and utilities and thus I have no time or energy left for anything else.

This is the first in a series of three posters I did as Christmas gifts, based on something my girlfriend said while we were talking abut Christmas stuff.

Everybody got this from me this year, but these are the only three that are digital, since, due to the above time constraints, most of them were drawn by hand and presented to them in person.

Incidentally, the other two are located here [link] and here [link]

Both the tank and animal are custom suited to the recipient, but since they are meant for people who don't want their names broadcast on the internet I'll just present this without further comment.
If you can understand who they are meant for then you're one of the lucky few "in the know". If not, well, just take them at face value.

love this one ! but in WOT, it can kill my M4, even when I have a 76mm gun !!!

Well, I don't think having a bigger gun counts towards protection, and the Ordnance Quick-Firing 6-pounder 7 cwt the RAM II mounted had very good penetration values despite having a calibre of only 57mm, far outperforming the shorter barrelled 75mm gun of the early Sherman. It's still outclassed by the fearsome 76mm though.

One thing the RAM II has on the M4 is better hull armour values. In WOT those are set as 76.2/63/38 mm compared to 51/38/38 mm for the Sherman, so you can see it can be a tougher nut to crack, but even so, the 76mm gun and even the 75mm should be able to dispatch it with ease, since the penetration values are as follow: the RAM II has 105 pen with it's 57mm while the M4 has 92 with the 75mm and 128 with the 76mm.

Haha. I love how the driver is actually a ram, like the tank itself!

Well, actually the driver is a goat, because the intended recipient is very fond of goats, but it can be seen as a two for one deal if you consider the fact that there have been attested cases of sheep–goat hybrids despite the two species being completely genetically distinct (sheep have 54 chromosomes while goats have 60 - the hybrids had 57).

Sure, I can show them to you, but don't expect anything to spectacular - I do my drawings on regular paper, smudging and erasing as I see fit, and then, when I'm satisfied with it, I ink it roughly with a normal fineliner, erase the pencil and finally draw the finished ink with fine technical pens on a separate sheet of tracing paper set on top, adding in extra details as I see fit.
This technique does have some drawbacks (artefacts during scanning due to the tracing paper's refraction and reflection values) but it yields accurate enough results when scanned at 600 dpi or more.

Another idea would be to make myself an inexpensive LED lightbox using a sheet of translucent acrylic and LED strips from IKEA and just use regular paper (thus eliminating scanning artefacts), but so far this project got sidelined indefinitely due to the world's most powerful force, which is laziness...

late reply is late

oh, do. and daaaaaaaaamn, that's super not-lazy. I would gnaw my hands off before drawing on two pieces of paper and on top of that ink it twice xD (well, it shows *kicks own linearts vaguely* )
And yeah, the LED idea sounds good. and i bet in the end it will save ya lots of work so you can be lazy a lot later on.
