I know I just uploaded this, but here it is again, as part of the "Cats to free fella" campaign DA seems to be running today. In any case , this is a tad different from the other one, because it's the uncropped version, with a lot more background visible.

Immediately thought of Cat Shit One [link]
If you haven't seen it, watch it, it's great.

Well, it's :icontttroy:'s character that I drew as a birthday present [link] , and since it originally came about specifically after a discussion we had about Cat Shit One, one can reasonably say that's where the original inspiration came from...

Didn't know they made an animated series though, I was only familiar with the comics.
Thanks for the link!

Yup, pretty much. I'm putting my money on the guy on the right as the victor...

The one who just got his shadow spotted? Hmmmm... Well, you're the author so I won't bet against you ;)

Sure, he got his shadow spotted, but as you can see, the other guy is about to wet his pants anyway (mostly because the other guards have been failing to answer their radios, and we all know what that means, and it just dawned on him that he literally has a spit second to react before his far better trained opponent, who is already in motion, comes around the corner and blasts him to bits.
It's just one of those cases where training and morale trump mere tactical advantage. Sure, if the guard was well trained and with steady nerves, the whole thing might turn out differently, but in this case...

Yes, it looks completely different when you put it in context :D

Which in fact is a failing on my part, since context should always be easily understandable from the picture. If you need 300 words to explain what it is you wanted to convey, I'd say you failed one of your main jobs as an artist... XD

Don't be hard on yourself :D I seriously doubt it's possible to pack all that background information into a single picture.
