Marbanian Inshore Squadron

Some older (circa 2009) concept sketches for "Inner Space".

I won't disclose too much about the world in which the graphic novel is taking place, but suffice to say there are two empires (and a few smaller nations) locked in a technological arm's race, cold war style.
The technological level is somewhat equivalent to our world's during the 1920s, and most machines are twists on old favourites (entirely justified in-universe, but I'm not going to talk about that yet).

This drawing shows some ships of the Inshore Squadron belonging to the Kingdom of Marban. These are ships designed for the shallow inland sea which divides the two main rivals (Marban and Tambria), thus they have relatively shallow draught. Pictured we can see a light aircraft carrier escorted by a pocket cruiser and one fast destroyer; also present is a steam launch and several small boats.
