Marbanian MBT, heavy TD and armoured AA vehicle

These are vehicles for the Marbanian side of my webcomic Inner Space. They will have a semi-active role in the comic appearing a few times but for the most part they will be used as background props.

The L.A.E.R. LR-1800 is the main battle tank of the Marbanian Army. Like on other Marbanian vehicles, the name is a four letter acronym made from the name of the designers and the manufacturing plant coupled with a four digit code [based on the real life Military Occupational Specialty of the US Marine Corps] representing the specific role of the vehicle - in this case "1800", which is "Main Battle Tank"

The vehicle is armed with a 75 hatte (100mm) rifled, semi-automatic breech main gun with a maximum range of around 14000 terran meters and an average rate of fire of about 5 rounds per minute. Penetration at 1000 m is 150 mm of armour for a 15.5kg APHE projectile, 290 mm of armour at 2000 m for the yper-velocity armour-piercing discarding-sabot round (HVAPDS) and basic loadout is 65 rounds.

Armour is 100 mm (7.5 parme/75 hatte) on the pike head lower glacis and sides and 47mm (3.5 parme/35 hatte) on the back and top.

Mobility is also pretty good - the roughly 42 ton tank is driven by a 50 abe (the Inner space unit for measuring power, the "ab" is derived from early steam engines and roughly equivalent to the terran "boiler horsepower". Thus, 50 abe equates roughly to about 650 hp) engine and manages to reach a top speed of approximatively 48km/h, with an operational range of about 420km.

Crew is composed of four people - commander who, according to Marbanian doctrine also handles radio communication, gunner, loader and driver.

Based on the same chassis as the  L.A.E.R. LR-1800, the L.A.E.R. LR-1812 is a combination heavy tank destroyer and self propelled gun. It mounts a high powered, long barrel rifled gun with a calibre of 120 hatte (160mm) with a maximum range of 19,500 metres and capable of defeating 200mm of armour at 2000m with a 45kg HE shell with a separate bagged charge. The rate of fire is low, 2-3 rounds per minute, and ammunition storage is 20 rounds. Because the gun is mounted in a casemate, the firing angles are limited to a lateral firing arc of +/-10°, while the depression and elevation are -5° and +15° respectively.

The vehicle is not provided with a coaxial machine-gun, but later variants mounted a 6.0 hatte machine gun on the commander's cupola.
Because of the heavy casemate (120mm thick, or 9 parme / 90 hatte) and gun the vehicle's weight is increased to 52 tons and the mobility is reduced to a maximum speed of 35km/h and operational range of 360km.
Like in the MBT, the crew comprises four people: commander / radio operator, gunner, loader and driver.

Because of the casemate geometry, the driver no longer has a separate hatch, which means they will be the most vulnerable person in case the vehicle is hit as they will have the longest way to travel to get out.

The yellow stripe around the casemate marks the vehicle as a platoon leader.

The  L.A.E.R. LR-7212 has the same chassis as the main battle tank but mounts a special, fully enclosed, 360° traverse turret armed with three staggered 18 hatte (24mm) anti-aircraft guns. These have a maximum range of 6800 meters with a cyclic rate of fire of 200–260 rounds per minute, being belt-fed. The maximum depression and elevation are -10° and +75°, respectively.
Since the weight is not significantly different from the MBT, mobility is about the same.
The crew is comprised of four people: commander / radio operator, gunner, assistant gunner and driver.
