Inner Space Trucks

As the title says, these are truck designs for my webcomic Inner Space. They are mainly to be used as background props so I haven't decided too much about them (even the names were spur of the moment thing), but even so, I couldn't miss drawing them into an elaborate "poster" type picture.

The Marbanian Army's most widely used vehicle is the locally manufactured BE6-T general transport truck. This basic lorry can be converted to a variety of roles, including troop transport and mounting different heavy support weapons.

The Marbanian BE5-AT could be considered the precursor of the BE6. Although a military version of the BE5 was attempted, it failed to capture the army's attention, so instead the truck was manufactured for the civilian market. In this case the truck is configured as a mobile workshop for auto repairs.

The Tambrian “SMEAJ” 5 farm truck is one of the most common utility vehicles in the Inner Space world. Due to it’s low cost and mechanical reliability it has been widely exported and is in wide use even in Marban.

The mainstay of the Tambrian Military transport arm, the R.U.R. 131 greneral transport truck, used for everything from hauling ammunition to towing stricken vehicles (although a specialist towing vehicle based on the standard MBT chassis exists for tank recovery). Unlike other similar trucks, the engine is mounted centrally in a protected position and the whole cab tilts forward to allow for maintenance access.

The R.U.R. 132 is a specialist troop transport based on the sucessful R.U.R. 131. Designed specifically for the Tambrian Army, it can carry up to 15 battle ready infantrymen and a heavy machinegun can be mounted in the top hatch. Also due to the vehicle’s relatively small wheel base, lighter weight than most contemporary military trucks and it’s innovative side access panels, the Tambrian Army is routinely credited with the best troop mobility in the Inner Space world.
